King in Nyali

His Majesty King Charles III has today been in Mombasa where he inspected the the Marines being a Marines Captain General. The British Monarch was accompanied by President William Ruto and the First Lady Mama Rachel Ruto.

An interesting incident was rather witnessed today at Nyali beach in Mombasa where the King was being taken through a series of displays at the beach.

In one of the displays, a royal like chair was displayed to the King and it was interesting to see King Charles only look at it but not sit on eat. As it would have been expected, it would have been prudent for the British monarch to have a sit and feel how comfy the chair was. Contrary to the people’s expectations, the King only touched it as it he were inspecting it, took a photo standing beside it and then moved on.

A similar incident was seen years ago when the King’s mother Queen Elizabeth ii refused to sit on the iconic Game of thrones seat despite the fact that it was just from a fictional kingdom in the famous Game of Thrones film. The queen beat everyone’s expectation when she simply looked at the chair but not sitting on it.
What then is the explanation behind this? Whereas there is no law prohibiting such an act, there is a royal code of conduct or rather tradition that makes the monarchs respects any throne whether actual or fictional.

The long tradition insists that the Monarch should only sit on the British throne and no other throne. This is tradition is normally done out of respect.
