Chief Officer for Citizen Services in Nairobi, Geoffrey Mosiria, has confirmed the release of a content creator known as Zakayo from Kikuyu Police Station following successful mediation efforts.

In a statement issued on April 12, 2026, Mosiria said he personally engaged all relevant parties to resolve the matter, leading to Zakayo’s release.

“I have successfully secured the release of content creator Zakayo from Kikuyu Police Station after engaging all parties and facilitating an amicable resolution with the complainant, with the support of Wakili Frank Mokaya,” he stated.

Mosiria noted that the intervention focused on dialogue and mutual understanding between the parties involved, ultimately resulting in a peaceful settlement.

He emphasized the importance of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms in handling such cases, especially where a consensus can be reached without prolonged legal proceedings.

The Chief Officer also acknowledged the role played by legal counsel Frank Mokaya in facilitating the agreement, describing the process as collaborative and solution-oriented.

While details surrounding Zakayo’s arrest and the nature of the complaint remain limited, Mosiria’s statement highlights the county government’s continued efforts to promote harmony and conflict resolution within the community.

The release underscores the growing role of public officers in mediating disputes outside the courtroom, particularly in cases involving public figures and content creators, where tensions can quickly escalate.

Mosiria reaffirmed his office’s commitment to ensuring that disputes are handled fairly and efficiently, with respect for the rights of all parties involved. He added that fostering cooperation between citizens and authorities remains key to maintaining order and trust within Nairobi.

Zakayo has since been released, bringing the matter to a close following the amicable agreement reached between him and the complainant.
