Zarinah Hassan, a Ugandan businesswoman and reality TV star living in South Africa, has spoken out against people criticizing her age.
Known as “Zari” or the “Boss Lady,” she says no filter can match her real look.
On September 1, 2025, Zari shared a message on social media saying she will turn 45 this year.
She told her critics that she embraces getting older and is proud of her appearance.
She said, “I’m 45 this year. Even with filters, no one can look like me. We age forward, not backward.
I love being compared to 20-year-olds — that shows I’m doing something right.”
Zari also thanked her fans for their support, saying, “To my lovers, thank you. Your love means a lot, and I love you back.”
This comes after her husband, Shakib Cham Lutaaya, talked about a miscarriage Zari had in May.
He said it was a painful experience and that he prefers to keep such personal matters private.
Shakib explained that since Zari already shared the news, he leaves it to her to speak more about it.
