The deputy president, Rigathi Gachagua, has put the UDA party secretary general, Cleophas Malala, on notice following violent confrontations in the recent UDA meetings.

Speaking on Monday at the party’s headquarters where Malala was also present, the deputy president stated that there some things that the secretary general is not doing right and he must improve. He warned that if there will be no improvements he will be kicked out.

“It is good that some members of our party have come out to criticize the secretary general. I also had some few issues that I have told him to improve on. It is only that I did not tell him publicly like others have done. UDA is a free party and everyone’s voice must be heard,” noted the DP.

“I don’t see anything wrong with criticizing Malala publicly. There are some few things that I have told him he needs to improve. If he is unable to improve then we shall kick him out,” added the DP. (Watch video from 10 min to 12 min).

UDA meetings have been marred by violence in Isiolo, Marsabit and Mombasa counties. National Assembly deputy speaker Gladys Boss Shollei had earlier criticized SG Malala, linking him with the violent activities.
