Ledama Olekina, a senator from Narok, has declared that he will lead other leaders in the fight against any form of impunity in the administration, including any supposed privatization of state enterprises that have been run by the government for many years without the assistance of outside parties.

Ledama stated that he, along with any other opposition leader who sees value in keeping the companies as they are, will not tolerate any attempt to change the status of government entities that directly contribute to national capital and economic prosperity, such as the Kenya Port Authorities and Kenya’s Biggest Pipeline Companies.

Olekina argued that the people in those positions, who may be behind the same things, are fronting their own interests and only concentrating on the exercise of making money, which makes them corrupt and goes against the common objective of working for Kenyans who are waiting for the National Cake to reach them.

President William Ruto has been claiming during campaigns that He will start the process on his own initiative. He claims that most businesses have been mismanaged for a long time and have even come close to harming the government, which finances them, and that they have also failed to produce the returns that were expected of them in order to benefit everyone.

The majority of the state-owned businesses, including Kenya Pipeline and Kenya Airways, have been bailed out as a result of their massive losses over the years, which totaled billions and attracted the interest of private banks and other institutions.

Now that we have a new administration that does not enable any form of business, the majority of businessmen have been claiming their restoration and retaining to the corporations.
