Attorney Ahmednassir Abdullahi has urged President Uhuru Kenyatta to respond quickly to President William Ruto’s address, and even to make amendments to it, given that Ruto was one of the individuals who fiercely opposed Raila Odinga’s candidacy.
In a tweet, Abdullahi stated that in any nation that has and continues to find ways to strengthen its democracy, the opposition leaders have the duty to swiftly criticize the president in office, especially by offering alternate solutions to the issues they believe the nation is not adequately addressing.
He added that Uhuru, the leader of the Azimio faction, would have come out swinging and provided additional justifications for Kenyans not to fully support Ruto’s speech in Parliament today, as well as provided His opinions on how the legislative matters should be handled, now that the country has achieved its freedom in matters of democracy.
Uhuru, who has always concealed His flaws, has remained silent on the subject, despite the fact that many of His allies and the opposition have attacked Ruto and accused him of enforcing laws that had not previously existed in order to highlight the good deeds of the current administration and conceal any wrongdoings that they may have overlooked.
The attorney has been criticizing Uhuru while involving Hon in the current events and pleading with Him to speak up because Ruto is greatly improving the lives of ordinary Kenyans who supported Him in the August elections.
