A 22-year-old university student, Faith, was left in complete shock after realizing a weekend babysitting job in Syokimau, Machakos County, was actually a setup to find a mother for two young boys.
Faith, who works as a part-time nanny to pay her college rent, had accepted a job offer to watch two young boys for a day. She felt a bit uneasy when the father refused to give full details over the phone, but she still went because she desperately needed the money.
Upon arrival, she found a spotless home and two well-mannered boys who played peacefully. However, panic set in when the father never left the house, opting to stay in the kitchen, brew coffee, and ask deep personal questions about her love life and future plans.
The real shock came at the end of the day when he handed over her payment envelope and dropped a Bombshell. “The boys didn’t actually need a nanny today,” he confessed. “I was looking for someone who might one day become part of their lives.”
Faith left the homestead in total disbelief, realizing she had unknowingly attended a marriage interview instead of a babysitting job.
