A Kenyan mother of one has left social media users concerned after revealing that her husband has been meticulously documenting all her mistakes in a personal diary. The woman, who goes by Daisy online, shared the unsettling discovery that left her questioning her marriage and future.
Daisy explained that she and her husband briefly dated before she became pregnant four years ago. For the sake of their son, they decided to reconcile five months ago, hoping to rebuild a happy and united family. Since moving in together, her husband has been responsible for purchasing all household items, something she initially considered helpful and unproblematic.
However, Daisy was shocked to learn that he had been recording instances when things went wrong at home, including broken household items and other minor mishaps. “He bought a flask, but it broke while I was taking it to work during the December holidays. He also gave me money for pillows that went missing, and he wrote all of this in a diary he uses for his savings group records,” Daisy said.
The entries went beyond objects. Daisy, a hairstylist, discovered that her husband had also labeled her as “rude” for arriving home late one day after a long work session. “I just ate leftover ugali and went to bed because he was already asleep. I don’t understand how I’m being rude,” she explained.
The diary has left Daisy feeling anxious and contemplating moving to a new town, though she worries about the impact on their four-year-old son, who is already used to having a complete family. She has turned to social media, seeking advice on how to handle the situation and whether reconciliation is still possible.
