The woman who has been married to her husband Jonathan for 20 years said she was shocked to learn that he had lost his job three months earlier despite pretending to go to work every day.
According to her account Jonathan had recently been coming home late every night. Whenever she asked about it he explained that he was working extra hours at the office and trying to secure a promotion.
Wanting to show her support and appreciation the woman decided to surprise him with a homemade dinner. She packed a warm meal and took a taxi to his workplace.
However what she discovered left her speechless.
When she arrived at the office building the receptionist looked at her with sympathy and revealed that Jonathan had not worked there for more than 12 weeks. He had reportedly been laid off three months earlier.
The revelation left the woman feeling embarrassed and betrayed. She returned home without confronting her husband immediately.
The following morning she watched as Jonathan dressed in his usual work clothes and prepared to leave the house. During breakfast she casually asked him how things were going at the office and whether there had been any progress regarding the promotion he had mentioned.
Without hesitation Jonathan replied that everything was going well and that the promotion simply needed more time.
Suspicious of his actions the woman decided to follow him.
She hired a taxi and instructed the driver to follow Jonathan’s vehicle. The journey eventually led them to a neglected estate where Jonathan parked his car and entered a small hotel.
Curious and worried the woman quietly approached the building and looked through a window. To her surprise Jonathan was sitting with an unfamiliar woman.
Moments later another woman joined them. Then another. Within a short time six different women had gathered around Jonathan’s table.
Confused by what she was witnessing the woman began taking photos with her phone.
