Motor rallying enthusiasts are set for a thrilling couple of days after the return of the WRC Safari Rakky, 18 years after its exit.
Here’s what you need to know to prepare for it.
It’s a four day event going down from the 24th to 27th June.
- It has attracted 68 drivers , who include 34 Kenyan racers set to participate.
- Kenya has done years of negotiations to bring the WRC back and so you must behave if you attend the rally.
rally 1 (1) - The three drivers including Hamza Anwar (22), McRae Kimathi (26), and Jeremy Wahome (22) are sponsored for the WRC Safari Rally by Safaricom and Kenya Airways.
rally 2 (1) - This is not a one off event, as the rally has returned for good.
On Thursday President Uhuru at State House addressed attendees and wished the young drivers success in the Safari Rally and in future local and international motorsport telling them to always be good Ambassadors in Kenya.
