In an incident that many have considered to be rather unfortunate, the youths from Ndhiwa were seen dangerously crowding a helicopter that was carrying politicians requesting for handouts from them.
In the rather chaotic scenes, the youths were seen even near helicopters risking their safety trying to persuade these politicians from the region to give them something.
In the video that has been making rounds across various social media platforms, the two helicopters that were almost taking off were grounded even as the Politicians gave in to the demands.
Many in their reaction have continued to fault the political class for constantly putting the people in need inorder to create such a scenarios, making the people dependant on them.
Among those that have reacted to the incident include vocal Lawyer and the former President of the Law Society of Kenya Nelson Havi.
Speaking through his official X page on Saturday, the 2nd of August, the SC has condemned the leaders from the region, asking them to rather do the needful instead of handouts.
According to Nelson Havi, the money that these politicians use to give as handouts can otherwise be used to perform other duties that will be of even greater benefit to the people.
While telling off these Politicians, the SC did state that the money being given out has been stolen from the Public and being used for the wrong purpose.
In his bold remarks, the SC asked the Politicians to desist from the habit of issuing handouts and instead perform their duties as elected leaders.
“Just stop giving voters handouts from stolen public funds, and instead, perform your duties as elected leaders. This is preposterous,” wrote the former LSK Chair in his reactions.
