On Wednesday 25 June 2025, hundreds of youths gathered out in large numbers to hold nationwide protests, marking the first anniversary after sixty (60) Gen-Zs were brutally killed during 2024 nationwide protests against the controversial financial bill.
However, what initially appeared to be peaceful demonstrations turned chaotic and dramatic, after unknown goons allegedly infiltrated the protests with aims of stealing from the unsuspecting Kenyans and causing mayhem that would escalate the wave of anguish by the already irate Gen-Zs.
As a result police officers were beaten up by some rogue protesters including a woman officer who was later rushed to hospital for medical attention after sustaining serious injuries.
In regards to the matter, it has now been established that as a result of the chaos that erupted on Wednesday afternoon, the protesters burned down Dagoreti police station in broad daylight in a move that also led to torching down of seven (7) vehicles that had been parked close to the station.
According to a report by KTN television, those who torched down the police station allegedly vanished away with five (5) guns and their whereabouts is still unknown hours after the ill mission.
