George Ruto, the son of President William Ruto, amused Kenyans after a light-hearted moment where he struggled to speak Kalenjin.
The short clip quickly went viral online, attracting mixed but mostly humorous reactions from social media users.
The video shows George meeting a TikTok content creator and aspiring MCA, Victor Mandazi, who excitedly introduced himself and informed his followers that he had bumped into the President’s last-born son.
The encounter appeared spontaneous, with the two engaging in a brief street conversation that quickly drew attention from passersby and online viewers.
During the interaction, Victor addressed George in Kalenjin, expecting a smooth exchange in the community language.
George struggled to respond fluently. He managed to say “kongoi,” meaning thank you, while lightly tapping Victor on the chest in a friendly gesture.
He later switched to Swahili, greeting viewers politely and asking how they were doing.
