Uganda’s Chief of Defence Forces, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has sparked widespread reactions on social media after posting a series of messages on X about global music star Beyoncé.
In one of the posts, Muhoozi jokingly gave rapper Jay-Z one week to “surrender” his wife, Beyoncé, saying he would take the matter to the United Nations if it did not happen.
In separate posts, Muhoozi also wrote that if Beyoncé did not know who he was, he would stage a one-man demonstration under the slogan:
“I’m Here Beyoncé.”
The remarks quickly went viral, attracting thousands of reactions from users in Uganda and beyond.
The posts generated a mix of amusement, criticism, and disbelief online.
Some users interpreted the comments as satire or an attempt at humor, while others questioned the appropriateness of such remarks from a senior military official.
As of now, neither Beyoncé nor her husband, Jay-Z, has publicly responded to Muhoozi’s posts.
The messages remain among the latest examples of Muhoozi’s outspoken and often unconventional social media activity, which has frequently drawn international attention.
