Githunguri MP Gathoni Wamuchomba has revealed that President William Ruto promised to complete all stalled road projects in her constituency following a meeting held at State House on Monday morning.

In a statement, Wamuchomba said the assurance was made during a UDA Party National Governing Council (NGC) meeting chaired by President Ruto, which she attended alongside other elected leaders.

She described the pledge as a major win for residents, noting that road infrastructure had remained a pressing concern in the constituency.

The meeting also brought together Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, party governors, Members of Parliament, and Members of County Assemblies.

During the same engagement, Wamuchomba disclosed that the proposed parliamentary bill seeking to regulate churches and houses of worship had been withdrawn.

She attributed the decision to a successful lobbying effort by elected leaders who raised concerns over religious freedom.

She further emphasized that the UDA party remains united and strong, expressing confidence in its leadership and direction.

Wamuchomba concluded her statement by thanking the President for listening to the leaders’ concerns and committing to development projects, particularly the completion of stalled roads in her constituency.
