Tiras

Nairobi, Kenya – Social media has erupted after a Kenyan man, Tiras Muange, went public with an emotional account accusing his wife, gospel singer Phyllis Mutisya, of an alleged eight-year affair that has now ended their 12-year marriage.

In a lengthy Facebook post, Muange claimed that his wife had been unfaithful with several men, some of them married, saying the revelations had left him broken and betrayed. He alleged the affairs unfolded in hotels, furnished apartments, and even during road trips, leaving a trail of pain not only for him but also for the families of the men involved.

“For eight years, you’ve given your heart to many men while breaking the hearts of their wives,” Muange wrote, describing what he called a toxic home marked by disrespect and constant humiliation.

He said his efforts to resolve the situation often ended in frustration, claiming that any attempt to address the infidelity only triggered anger and blame-shifting. In his post, he declared that he was finally letting go, “surrendering everything to God” and freeing his wife to live her life.

The post has since gone viral, with netizens sharply divided. Some sympathized with Muange, calling infidelity one of the deepest betrayals in marriage. Others accused him of seeking sympathy and questioned the wisdom of publicly naming alleged lovers without proof.

Mutisya, who has over 118,000 Facebook followers, has not responded to the allegations. Her last public post dates back to July, and attempts to reach her for comment have been unsuccessful.

For now, the scandal remains the latest in a string of high-profile marital breakdowns spilling into the public eye, drawing thousands of reactions across Kenya’s ever-vocal online community.
