Dama wa Spares has publicly condemned individuals who used Triza Njeri’s album launch to comment on her troubled marriage with gospel singer Karangu Muraya. The event, held on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at Blue Springs Hotel, was intended to celebrate Triza’s musical journey.
However, some attendees reportedly diverted the focus to address the couple’s personal issues. In a passionate Facebook post, Dama emphasized that the occasion was not a platform for airing private grievances.
She praised those who maintained the event’s purpose, highlighting the maturity of speakers like Baby Top, Essy wa Willy, and Githaiga, who refrained from discussing sensitive family matters. Dama expressed particular appreciation for Baby Top’s statement, “Let the will of God be done,” recognizing it as a reflection of wisdom and emotional intelligence.
Dama also criticized individuals who publicly discussed the couple’s marriage, especially those without stable relationships themselves. She described such actions as hypocritical, stating, “You can’t come and address someone’s marriage in public while you yourself don’t even have one.”
She further accused these individuals of misusing the platform to voice personal frustrations under the guise of concern. The album launch had already been a subject of public interest due to Karangu’s unexpected appearance and performance alongside Triza, which surprised many attendees.
Despite the couple’s ongoing marital issues, Dama’s intervention underscores the importance of respecting personal boundaries and the sanctity of private relationships in public settings.
Dama’s call for maturity and respect in handling personal matters resonates with many, urging the public to focus on supporting individuals in their professional endeavors rather than delving into their private lives.
