A middle-aged Kenyan woman committed suicide after posting a troubling message on Facebook. On her post, she said she couldn’t handle life anymore. This is yet another tragic case of mental health issues.
The deceased woman’s husband had left her to care for their two children on her own, leaving her to deal with severe depression as a result.
After eloping with his sidekick, her estranged husband claimed that she had nothing to offer.
On her social media post, she said her goodbyes to her children, shared her deepest feelings of emotional anguish, and pleaded for the forgiveness of those whom she felt she had failed. “To my kids, please forgive me. She wrote, “I tried, but I’m tired.”
This tragic incident contributes to the rising number of suicides in Kenya that are caused by emotional distress, financial difficulties, and domestic difficulties.
Most Kenyans needs to be taught on emotional management, it is not a matter of life and death if someone leaves your life or relationship.
