Mtumi

Comedian Mtumishi, who is known by many fans from his Churchill Show days with Mchungaji, has shared a deeply personal story about his failed marriage. He spoke about the matter during an appearance on Oga Obinna’s show, where he explained how the relationship started, what he did for his wife, and how things later fell apart.

Mtumishi said that when he met his wife, she had already finished secondary school but had not yet joined university. He decided to support her by paying her school fees and living expenses at Kabarak University.

He said he saw this as an investment in their shared future and believed that helping her grow would also help their life together.

After she completed her studies, Mtumishi says he went a step further and helped her get a job with an international organisation. He claimed the job paid about KSh 80,000 a month, which was a good salary at the time.

He added that he was also paying rent of around KSh 60,000, showing that he was trying hard to keep their home stable and comfortable.

However, Mtumishi said life changed when his own career later faced financial problems. He explained that he suggested they move to a cheaper house so they could reduce expenses and manage better.

According to him, his wife did not accept the idea well. He says that after this disagreement, their relationship became worse and eventually broke down.

Mtumishi said the breakup was one of the hardest periods of his life. He described going through depression and said he rarely got the chance to see their child.

He also claimed that his ex-wife later remarried. These details, however, are based only on his own account.
