Mayi wa Nabwile, a content producer, described the agony of being rejected by his lover due to his funny manner.
Speaking with TUKO.co.ke, the comedian claimed that his portrayal of female roles has resulted in repeated rejections.
The comic encouraged ladies to embrace him for who he is, and also commented on his parents’ initial unease with his content.
In an exclusive interview with TUKO.co.ke, Mayi said that he was dumped due to his humorous approach, namely his portrayal of female characters in his sketches.
He further stated that the manner has resulted in rejection not only from his ex-girlfriend, but from women in general.”Ladies have rejected me because of the character I portray in my skits.
“Whenever I approach women, they reject me because I play a female character,” he said.
He said that the relationship ended when he decided to pursue content production seriously. “She accused me of disgracing her family. She inquired, “How would I introduce you to my parents?”
The comedian was furious and devastated after receiving a stinging rejection from someone close to him.
Despite the difficulties in his personal life, Mayi has no intention of losing his love for humor. “At some point, I asked myself if I should quit content creation to appeal to ladies, but I ruled it out because it is what put food on my table,” according to him.
