Butere Girls High School from Kakamega county, has once again showcased their great talents, at the Ongoing Brookside Secondary Schools national term one games, after emerging the best in basketball.

The games were held at Shimo La Tewa High School in Mombasa County. Butere Girls basketball team played against Kaya Tiwi at the finals, topping with 76 points against 53 points, scored by Tiwi basketball team.

It was an aweful moment for Butere Girls team, as that was their third time retaining the title in a three consecutive row at the national levels.

 

Many of their supporters took to the social media pages to massively celebrate the win by Butere girls, after an echoed incident that tampered with their ‘Echoes of War’ drama play at the National Drama Festivals in Nakuru.

Cleophas Malala also wrote in his face book page, congratulating Butere Girls Basketball team. He complimented the girls for showing the true meaning of never loosing hope, never giving up and never cowering in the face of extreme adversity.
