A 37-year-old man in Kitengela, Kajiado County is being pursued by police after stabbing and throwing his wife from the third floor of their house.
Kelvin Onyango, a tuk-tuk driver, is said to have had a quarrel with the wife leading to the bizzare incident.
According to their house help, the two often fight and the situation was worse Tuesday morning as things got out of control.
The house help revealed that the domestic quarrel erupted around 8 am before Onyango picked a kitchen knife, stabbed the wife three times and then pushed her out of the window. He fled the scene, leaving the woman in a pool of blood.
Neighbours alerted officers at Kitengela Police Station, who responded immediately. The victim was rushed to Kitengela Medical Hospital in a critical condition.
Isinya Police Commander Patrick Manyasi confirmed the incident, saying police are continuing with investigations into the incident.
Manyasi urged families to handle domestic disputes calmly instead of resorting to violence.
