Roseline Akombe is a former commissioner of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission until 2017 when she resigned and fled to the United States of America after the controversial general elections of 2017.
It is until the passing of Mama Teresia Onyonka that the public came to know that the former IEBC commissioner is one among the four wives of Kisii senator Richard Momoima Onyonka. Speaking during one of the days of mourning, senator Onyonka for the first time made it clearly publicly that he has twelve children from four wives where Roseline is one of them.
As thousands of mourners gathered in Mosocho to pay their last respects to Mama Teresia, Roseline Akombe attended the burial as one of the daughter-in-laws of the deceased.
Roseline got an opportunity to eulogize her mother-in-law and said that she loved education hence to honor her, Roseline donated Ksh. 200,000 to support needy children to get educated. She appealed to the leaders who attended the burial to also support the initiative as one way of honoring her husband’s late mother.
