Earlier, family of a woman identified as Elizabeth Wairimu Njoroge were left with sadness, especially after the 27-year-old woman died after giving birth at Nakuru Level 5 hospital.
According to reports, Elizabeth was taken to the hospital on good Friday, and upon arrival, she was admitted and set to undergo a C-section. However, she was later pronounced dead.
Doctors later revealed that she developed complications, and many were left with unanswered questions. Earlier today, a postmortem was conducted on the body, and it was revealed that she died after experiencing respiratory distress.
Doctor Titus Ngulungu explained that the condition was caused after her body struggled to get enough oxygen, leading to shortness of breath, and low oxygen levels in the blood.
He further disclosed that that the condition could have been caused by an amniotic fluid embolism, a process that causes amniotic fluid to enter the mother’s bloodstream. May her soul continue to rest in peace.
