Nairobi Central Business District is one of the busiest area in the city especially during morning and evening hours as citizens rush to their workplaces. Today, dramatic scene was witnessed at one street in Nairobi where police officers were stopped by crowd from arresting a man.
According to a video shared by Independent Journalist Abdulahi Adan on his X account, the Police officers had no uniform during the security operation. The residents shouted at the security officers demanding to be informed on the reason for the arrest.
Police officers are responsible for order restoration, law enforcement, preventing criminal activities and investigating crime. However, they are expected to conduct their operation in accordance to the law.
