Kenyan singer and entrepreneur Akothee has shared a funny story about her trip to the United States, revealing how her daughter Rue has been making the journey quite memorable.
Akothee said she has been asked to produce identification before being served alcohol at restaurants in the US. She experienced the same situation in Seattle and later in Minnesota.
The repeated requests left her jokingly wondering whether she really looks young enough to be mistaken for someone below the legal drinking age.
Things became even funnier when Rue allegedly decided to hide her mother’s passport. Akothee joked that she was left thirsty and wished she had travelled with Vesha.
But the passport drama was apparently not the only trouble Rue caused.
Akothee also revealed that she had developed a crush on someone she met in Seattle. According to her story, Rue gave the man the wrong address and later deleted his number from Akothee’s phone.
Laughing about the situation, Akothee said she has really suffered in Rue’s hands during the trip.
The mother-daughter adventure has given Akothee plenty of funny moments to share with her fans. From being asked for identification at restaurants to having her passport hidden, the trip has certainly not been boring.
