In an exciting new initiative, young people across Kenya gathered at the Aga Khan Walk to officially launch Bunge La GenZ, a platform dedicated to discussing and addressing the issues that affect the nation.
The launch event, which took place recently, marked the beginning of what is expected to be a regular and impactful gathering for the youth of the country.
Bunge La GenZ is an inclusive space where young minds can come together every Thursday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. to openly discuss political, social, and economic issues that are important to them.
The goal is to create a space for dialogue, empowerment, and the generation of solutions to challenges faced by the youth and the nation as a whole.
The event brought together students, professionals, activists, and youth leaders who are eager to shape the future of Kenya.

During the launch, the participants were encouraged to engage with one another and share their opinions, concerns, and suggestions regarding the direction in which the country is headed.
Speakers highlighted the importance of youth involvement in national discourse, urging those present to take ownership of their future by contributing to the decisions and policies that will affect them.
“This is your space,” one of the organizers stated, addressing the crowd. “We want to hear your voices, your ideas, and your solutions to the problems that impact you and your communities.”
Among the issues discussed during the event were unemployment, education, healthcare, and climate change.
Participants were encouraged to think critically about how the youth can play a role in solving these problems, whether through innovation, activism, or participating in policy-making processes.
The launch of Bunge La GenZ comes at a crucial time when young people are increasingly demanding to be part of the conversations that shape their lives.
By meeting every Thursday, the group aims to build momentum, share knowledge, and take action on various fronts.
The platform is open to all young people, regardless of their background or area of expertise. It is a call to action for anyone interested in making a difference, providing a forum where discussions can turn into tangible actions.
“We are excited to see where this journey will take us. Karibuni nyote kila Thursday,” the organizers concluded, inviting everyone to join in the ongoing dialogue that will hopefully lead to meaningful change for Kenya’s future.
As Bunge La GenZ continues to grow, it promises to be a powerful force for positive change, empowering the youth to take an active role in the future of their country.
