Flamboyant forex trader and social media influencer Raymond Omosa, popularly known as Kenyan Prince, has admitted that his recent social media stunts—including a supposed car accident and breakup—were all part of a calculated strategy to stay relevant.
Speaking in an interview with Milele FM, Kenyan Prince revealed that the dramatic claims of a serious accident and a split with his girlfriend, Stephanie, were not real. Instead, they were carefully planned moves to keep his name trending in Kenya’s competitive online space.
“We never broke up. In this social media game, sometimes you have to play with people’s minds a little to remain relevant,” he explained. “We were just here watching as people commented online.”
The fake breakup came just before Valentine’s Day, fueling widespread speculation among his followers. Interestingly, weeks before, he had hinted at an impending breakup, setting the stage for the buzz that followed.
Additionally, the widely shared video of his black Mercedes-Benz GLE involved in a collision on February 12 was also staged. Kenyan Prince admitted that the supposed accident, which showed his car blocking traffic after colliding with a Mazda, was nothing more than a social media spectacle. “That wasn’t an accident—it was just hype,” he confessed.
Despite the controversy, the trader remains unfazed, dismissing allegations that his extravagant lifestyle is funded through dubious means. He also revealed that he and Stephanie are still together and even have wedding plans in the pipeline. His admission sheds light on the lengths influencers go to maintain relevance in the ever-evolving world of social media.
