Erick Omondi, on Monday, January 26, took a 34-year-old woman, who had been attacked by a neighbour over allegations of stealing a packet of flour, on a tour of her new home, which is still under construction.Sharing a video of the house under construction, Erick captioned, “God will use your lowest moment to lift you up.
Just last week, this woman was shamefully paraded, beaten, and cast out, but today she owns land and a house.”
Omondi referred to the house as āThe House on the Hillā to signify her rise above her struggles. Team Sisi Kwa Sisi Nyinyi Ni Wale Waseeā¦You Have Done It Again, And God Is Happy.ā
Erick revealed that they had purchased land in Nairobi in a serene location, and the house was almost complete, with only roofing and final touches pending.
He rallied Kenyans to contribute towards helping the woman, Kathambi, build her home.On January 18, Erick shared that Kenyans had raised KSh 876,000, and he encouraged further donations to reach the KSh 3 million target.
During an interview, the distressed mother recounted being dragged to a neighborās compound, where she was beaten for a crime she did not commit.
āHe slapped and beat me, poking me with a stick in the head. I thought he wanted to kill me,ā she narrated.
Her family, living in extreme poverty, was vulnerable to such abuse. Inspired by her plight, the Doctors of Hearing – Kenya team, led by consultant audiologist Richard Mwangi, reached out to assist.
Faith was booked for an appointment, and after extensive tests, she was fitted with a state-of-the-art hearing aid, marking a transformative moment in her life.
