Former NTSA Director General Francis Meja’s position on the Murang’a University Council has been revoked by Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Migos. This decision comes just a year after his appointment by the former Education CS Ezekiel Machogu. Meja’s removal follows his swearing-in as a member of the Public Service Commission.
In a gazette notice dated January 20, 2025, CS Migos officially terminated Meja’s position, which was initially set to end in November 2026. Meanwhile, Captain Kungu Muigai, former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s cousin, has been reappointed to the Kenya Cultural Centre Council. This reappointment comes three weeks after a High Court nullified his earlier appointment due to procedural issues.
Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi announced Muigai’s reappointment for a three-year term. Additionally, Tourism CS Rebecca Miano appointed Mark Rabudi to the Kenya Utalii College Council, replacing John Odek. These changes reflect ongoing restructuring efforts within key government institutions.
