Tuesday, the 14th of May, was indeed a special day for former Citizen TV news anchor Jacque Maribe.
This is because the day officially marked 10 years since she birthed her son by the moniker of Zahari.

Being proud of the milestone, the talented journalist marked his birthday in style. She penned her son a heartwarming message on her Instagram account, where she even gushed over motherhood.
“Zahari. The greatest honour of my life. Happy 10thā¦we made it @zaharimaribe” she wrote on her Instagram stories.
As Zahari turns 10-years-old today, it should be noted that the young one is Jacque Maribe’s only child.
The former Citizen TV news anchor welcomed him to the world on the 14th of May 2014, and gave him the name Zahari, which by the way means ‘God has remembered’.
Jacque Maribe disclosed that she chose the name on purpose, when she was celebrating Zahari’s 8th birthday in May 2022.
At the time, she said in part,
“ā¦Zahari – meaning God has Remembered. I couldn’t have picked a better name for you my son. And through our journey, God has faithfully rememberedā¦”.
Jacque Maribe struggles to have a child
When Jacque Maribe welcomed Zahari to the world in 2014, it was indeed a blessing to her because she had struggled with a fertility condition for awhile.
The condition actually caused her to suffer two miscarriages, a phase that she termed as one of the toughest periods she has endured in her life.
Speaking in a previous interview, Jacque Maribe said:
“I had almost gotten a baby before but I suffered a miscarriage. It was tough at the time because it was so new to me. Then we try again, suffered a second miscarriage and didn’t know what was going on”.
