Ruto plant

In a highly anticipated move towards environmental conservation, President William Ruto took the lead in a nationwide tree planting initiative in Makindu, Makueni County yesterday. This ambitious campaign aims to plant a staggering 150 million trees by the end of the day which is in alignment with the public holiday declared by Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki on November 7, 2023.

However, amidst the fervor and determination, a lighter moment caught everyone’s attention. While planting his own tree President Ruto momentarily lost his balance almost falling to the ground. His bodyguards, who were closely observing the situation, immediately rushed to his side, offering apologies and assistance.

To everyone’s relief, President Ruto quickly regained his balance, and a smile spread across his face. With lighthearted laughter, he reassured his concerned bodyguards playfully dismissing their help. “Leave me alone,” he jestingly urged them. “I am strong!”

This incident showcased the President’s resilience and sense of humor, even in unexpected situations. It also demonstrated the dedication and vigilance of his security detail ever ready to ensure his safety. Despite the minor hiccup, the tree planting event continued unabated with President Ruto setting an example for others to follow.
