Some few minutes ago, the Orange Democratic Movement, ODM party came out to make a major announcment just some few minutes after expelling a total of 5 members of parliament.
As seen from their tweet, the Orange party under the leadership of Raila Odinga has announced that they are going to hold party grassroot elections early next year. On their announcment, the opposition party said that dates for these elections will be announced by the National Executive Committee, NEC which happens to be the most powerful organ in all political parties in the republic of Kenya.
“Party Grassroots elections will be held early next year on dates to be determined by the National Executive Committee (NEC).” Said the ODM party. Among those who will be elected are the county and the sub-county Chairpersons. This announcment came in just a day after the ODM Chairperson for Narok North hon Maranga Ole Otuni ditched Azimio and joined the goverment side.
