In a statement on Wednesday, the party said Passaris will have to pay Sh250,000 as a fine for defying the party besides issuing a written apology within seven days. This was arrived at during a National Executive Committee of the party held on Wednesday under the leadership of Raila Odinga. This has raised mixed reactions from Kenyans where many did not support the move since she was sent to parliament by Nairobi people and not by ODM party.
She is therefore supposed to put Nairobi people before the party where many are waiting for her next move. Karen Nyamu who is a nominated senator has also reacted on this through her official Instagram page where she appeared to disagree with ODM despite her being in Kenya Kwanza and ODM is non of her business. Karen said that this is new where she asked Passaris not to dare pay the money since she did nothing wrong voting in support of finance bill 2023.
