Mgix Anga

Kenyan music producer Magix Enga has made a desperate appeal for employment, revealing that he is willing to take up almost any job to earn a living amid financial difficulties.

The producer, whose real name is Njenga Chege, made the appeal on Thursday, November 5, 2026, through a post on his Facebook account, saying he was ready to work in any field except farming.

Magix Enga, who rose to prominence through his production work on several popular Kenyan songs, said he was hardworking and was not abandoning music but needed an alternative source of income.

“I need a job, any job guys bora isiwe ya shamba. I am a very hard-working man 🙏 music siwachi but for now natafuta kazi. Dm ❤️,” he wrote.

His appeal comes years after he established himself as one of the sought-after music producers in Kenya, working with prominent artistes and contributing to the success of several hit songs.

Magix Enga reveals how much he earned at the height of his career

At the height of his music career, Magix Enga was earning hundreds of thousands of shillings monthly from music production.

In January 2026, the producer reflected on his rise to fame and subsequent financial struggles while speaking on a local docuseries focusing on people who received significant financial windfalls but later lost their wealth.

He disclosed that he previously earned between Ksh300,000 and Ksh400,000 monthly.

“We were making like 300k to 400k per month,” he recalled.

Former aides who also featured in the production described his spending habits, claiming that he frequently spent money on expensive purchases and maintained a lavish lifestyle.

One former aide recalled how the producer could decide to buy a car, sleep on the idea and complete the purchase the following day.

The revelations offered a glimpse into the contrast between his financial position during his peak years and his current search for employment.

Magix Enga claims he earned nothing from hit songs

Despite producing several successful songs, Magix Enga has previously complained that he did not receive royalties or adequate compensation from some of the projects he worked on.

In October 2023, the producer made a public appeal for financial assistance, claiming that some artistes had taken advantage of his talent without adequately compensating him.

He cited his hits songs which includes some of the most popular songs ever gone up on Kenyan airspace.

Magix Enga argued that although the songs had attracted significant attention and millions of views, he had not benefited financially from their success.

His claims highlighted longstanding concerns about royalty management and compensation within Kenya’s music industry.

During his October 2023 appeal, the producer also disclosed that the studio where he had been working had been shut down because of unpaid rent.

He said the setback had affected his ability to continue earning through music production.

“Right now am writing this I have 1 month baby boy who’s depending on me. I tried to pull myself together but the studio I was working was shut down because of rent issues,” he wrote.

The producer also revealed that he had a one-month-old son who depended on him for financial support, adding to the pressure he was facing.

In the same October 2023 appeal, Magix Enga directly addressed President William Ruto, asking him to intervene and support him and other players in the Kenyan music industry.

“Currently, I, don’t have a job. Our president Dr William Samoei Ruto I can urge you to please help me in whatever support. You can start in the music industry with my colleague,” he wrote.

The latest employment appeal is not the first time the producer has publicly sought opportunities to revive his career.
