Geoffrey Mosiria has warned content creators against being used by Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, accusing him of copying his approach to supporting creators after allegedly criticising him for doing so.

In a social media post, Mosiria claimed that Babu previously insulted him and called him names because he supported content creators and women.

He questioned why Babu was now associating with the same creators he allegedly looked down upon, suggesting that the change could be linked to political ambitions.

“So juu anatafuta kiti content creators wamekuwa wazuri?” Mosiria asked, questioning whether content creators had suddenly become valuable because politicians were seeking their support.

Mosiria went on to warn creators to be careful when dealing with politicians, arguing that some could approach them for personal or political gain rather than genuine support.

“My good people, creative creators, be careful. Babu is only using you, and any man who is power hungry can do anything,” he stated.

He also accused Babu of copying his style, referring to him as “Mr copy and paste” and challenging him to support creators financially instead of merely associating with them.

“Don’t use them, support them now that you have budget,” Mosiria added.

He maintained that he would continue standing with content creators and women, insisting that he would not abandon the people he had chosen to support.

Mosiria’s remarks come after Babu was seen dancing with content creators in a social media post accompanied by the playful caption, “Hapa tulikuwa tunaskia smaata. Tunaskia fine thank you. Tunaskia bango bieee.”

The exchange has drawn attention to the relationship between politicians and content creators, particularly concerns about whether political engagement translates into genuine support or is driven by personal interests.

However, Mosiria’s claims about Babu’s intentions have not been independently established.
