Kenyan singing sisters, the Moipei Quartet, have appealed to the public for financial support as their father receives treatment in India for chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL), a type of blood cancer.

In a post shared on their Instagram page on Sunday, October 25, 2026, the sisters announced that they had started a fundraiser to help meet the costs of their father’s treatment.

They asked friends, fans, and well-wishers to contribute or share the fundraiser as the family navigates the difficult period.

“Dear friends, we have started a fundraiser to help our dad as he receives treatment in India for CLL, a type of blood cancer. We’re hoping to ease some of the costs so he can focus on getting the care he needs,” they wrote.

The sisters added that any support would mean a lot to their family as their father continues receiving medical care. “If you’re able, please consider donating or sharing the fundraiser. Every bit of support means so much to our family. Thank you for keeping our dad in your thoughts,” they added.

Who are the Moipei Quartet?

The Moipei Quartet comprises four Kenyan sisters known for their vocal harmonies and performances of classical, gospel, and contemporary music.

The sisters gained recognition for singing together from a young age, showcasing their ability to blend their voices in performances that earned them attention both locally and internationally.

Their musical talent and disciplined performances helped establish them as one of Kenya’s recognisable family singing groups. They have performed at various events and platforms, using their harmonies to connect with audiences across different musical styles.

Beyond their performances, the sisters became known for representing Kenyan talent on international stages, helping introduce wider audiences to their music and vocal arrangements.

Their journey as a quartet has also been shaped by their close family bond, with their shared musical background forming a key part of their public identity.

Appeal for support

The sisters’ latest announcement has shifted attention from their music to their family’s current health challenge.

By making the fundraiser public, they are asking people who have followed their musical journey, as well as other well-wishers, to help ease the financial pressure associated with treatment.

Chronic lymphocytic leukaemia is a cancer that affects the blood and bone marrow, involving a type of white blood cell called lymphocytes. Its progression and treatment vary from one patient to another, depending on factors such as the stage of the disease and the person’s overall health.

The sisters have not shared further details about their father’s condition or treatment plan in the statement. For now, they are appealing for donations and messages of support as their father continues receiving care in India.
