Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale has continued to mourn his late wife, Gloria Sekeiyan Khalwale, while reflecting on the family they built together.

Gloria died suddenly on Saturday morning after reportedly suffering a heart attack.
Her unexpected death left Khalwale, their children and other relatives struggling to come to terms with the loss.
Following Gloria’s death, Khalwale publicly shared the names of the eight children they had together.
They are Eugene Kukaste, Olivia Sabayi, Flavia Shimuli, Gift Atubukha, Meliza Khamwenyi, Velma Nasiebanda, Sonia Inuni and Maura Makatse Khalwale.
The senator described Gloria as an important part of his life and credited her with bringing great blessings to the family.
He particularly highlighted their children, noting that some had performed impressively in national examinations.

Khalwale announced Gloria’s death shortly after she collapsed at their family home.
“My dear wife, Gloria Sekeiyan Khalwale, has this morning suddenly collapsed and died after a heart attack,” the senator said in his announcement.
Her passing was unexpected, with no prolonged illness having been publicly reported before her death.
The sudden loss shocked relatives, friends and political leaders who later sent messages of condolence to the senator and his family.

According to an account shared publicly, Khalwale attempted to revive his wife for more than 25 minutes before she was pronounced dead.
The incident has added to the emotional weight surrounding Gloria’s passing as the family continues to mourn her.
Gloria was later laid to rest at the Khalwale family home in Malinya, Ikolomani, Kakamega County, where family members and political leaders gathered to honour her life.
