Nigerian music star Innocent “2Baba” Idibia and his wife, Natasha Osawaru, have sparked fresh speculation about the state of their marriage after making noticeable changes to their Instagram accounts.
The development comes days after reports of a tense confrontation involving the couple at the opening of 90s Lounge in Abuja, where 2Baba was scheduled to perform.
According to reports circulating online, the incident occurred on Friday during the nightclub’s launch. Witnesses claimed that Osawaru arrived at the venue accompanied by several people before approaching the singer’s vehicle.
Security personnel and police officers reportedly intervened after the situation became tense.
However, footage of the incident that has circulated online does not independently establish what triggered the reported confrontation.
2Baba unfollows Natasha
Following the incident, claims emerged that 2Baba had allegedly told Osawaru that he no longer wanted to continue with their relationship.
The reports gained further traction after social media users noticed a change in the couple’s Instagram activity.
By Sunday, 2Baba was reportedly no longer following Osawaru on Instagram, although she continued to follow him.
The development immediately drew attention given the couple’s highly publicised relationship and marriage.
Annie and 2Baba reconnect on Instagram
The situation took another unexpected turn on Monday when social media users noticed that 2Baba and his former wife, Annie Macaulay Idibia, had followed each other again on Instagram.
The two had previously unfollowed each other following their separation, making their renewed social media connection particularly notable amid speculation surrounding 2Baba’s current marriage.
The development has since sparked a wave of reactions online, with some users describing the timing as ironic.
2Baba and Annie’s marriage ended in January 2025 after 13 years together. The singer subsequently made his relationship with Osawaru public before proposing to her in February 2025.
The pair later held a private traditional wedding ceremony in July 2025.
