Kenya Defence Forces officer Lilian Kirito Kabengi has been laid to rest following her death on June 1, 2026, after she succumbed to injuries sustained in mysterious incident that reportedly occurred on the night of June 11, 2026, in Zimmerman, Nairobi.
According to accounts, Kabengiwho was attached to Kahawa Barracks died after being critically injured following allegations that she was pushed from the fifth floor of an apartment building in the residential area.
The exact circumstances surrounding the fall remain unclear, with questions still being raised over whether she fell accidentally or whether she was forced from the height.
Reports indicate that Kabengi, a football enthusiast who played for Kahawa Queens FC, had spent the evening of June 11 at a friend’s place where she is said to have taken drinks and food.
Later in the night, the incident was reported to have happened at the apartment building, where she reportedly fell from the fifth floor and sustained serious injuries.
Kabengi was subsequently rushed for medical attention and was said to have been battling for her life at the Intensive Care Unit of a Nairobi regional hospital.
Her condition reportedly remained critical for a period before she later passed on at Forces Memorial Hospital, where she was receiving treatment.
