The hunt for a woman accused of murdering her newly hired nanny has taken a new twist after neighbours shared disturbing details that could help detectives unravel the crime.

Susan Wanjiku Nyambura had only worked for two days at her employer’s home in the Cieko area of Kasarani before she was allegedly killed.

Her body was found on May 12 at the entrance of the house with severe head injuries. A post-mortem later confirmed that she died from traumatic blunt force trauma.

As investigations continue, residents living near the rental house have revealed suspicious events that unfolded on the day Susan was killed.

According to witnesses, the woman now wanted by detectives approached one of her neighbours and asked them to take care of her child before she suddenly disappeared from the area.

Another witness recalled hearing screams shortly after a woman from the compound spoke to a motorcycle rider. Moments later, Susan’s lifeless body was discovered, leaving the neighbourhood in shock.

Detectives who visited the house found signs of a violent struggle. Clothes were scattered across the floor inside the two-room apartment, while a lone photograph was among the items left behind. Investigators believe the suspect fled in a hurry after the incident.

Even more alarming, some neighbours claimed the woman had previously been linked to another violent incident, raising questions about her past and whether warning signs had been overlooked.
