Zaheer Jhanda is the current member of Parliament for Nyaribari Chache constituency in Kisii county. He is serving his first term as a member of parliament since 2022 when he was elected under the United Democratic Alliance party ticket.
The lawmaker recently attended a burial ceremony at Irungu, Ibeno ward in Nyaribari Chache constituency. He addressed the mourners after which he left the burial, most of the mourners who attended the event stood and started following him as he left. The mourners leave the burial in their numbers and as it can be seen in a video that has been shared, they fill the road as they closely follow the member of parliament.
The master of the ceremony is heard pleading with the few people who remained behind to sit so that the burial programme can continue till it’s conclusion, speakers can be heard making their speeches to a physically thinning crowd with minimal feedback to their address.
