Reports circulating on social media claim that Kenyan comedian Timothy Kimani, popularly known as Njugush, has allegedly converted a luxury Mercedes-Benz linked to his former partner, Celestine Ndinda, into a roadside vegetable stall in Ruiru. However, no official confirmation or independently verified evidence has emerged to support the claims.
A video circulating online allegedly shows a Mercedes E250 fitted with wooden shelves and stocked with vegetables such as cabbages and sukuma wiki along a roadside. Social media users have widely shared the footage, with some claiming the vehicle once belonged to Ndinda following her reported separation from Njugush.
The claims surfaced weeks after Njugush publicly confirmed that he and Ndinda had ended their relationship after years together. In a public statement cited by several Kenyan entertainment outlets, the comedian said the pair had mutually decided to part ways in 2025 and were currently co-parenting their children.
According to reports, the breakup attracted widespread public attention because the couple had long been viewed as one of Kenya’s most recognizable comedy and content-creation partnerships. Entertainment outlets reported that the two had built businesses together and owned property in Ruiru during their marriage.
Some blogs and entertainment sites have also published unverified claims regarding vehicles allegedly repossessed after the separation. One report claimed that a Range Rover Evoque associated with Ndinda had been taken back following the breakup, though no official documents or direct statements from either party confirmed the allegation.
As of Wednesday, neither Njugush nor Ndinda had publicly commented on the viral Mercedes-Benz vegetable kiosk story. No verified records have linked the vehicle shown in the circulating footage to either member of the former couple.
The roadside setup has nevertheless continued attracting attention online, with locals and social media users reacting to the unusual transformation of what appears to be a luxury car into a makeshift vegetable stall.
