Mike Sonko Reveals He Was Paying Rent for Woman Who Had Nearly Ten Other Men
Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has opened up about a personal experience in which a woman he was financially supporting was allegedly receiving money from multiple other men at the same time.
In a video clip shared by Kenya Gossip Club on Instagram, Sonko recounted how he discovered that a woman he had been paying rent for was also being supported by close to ten other men. “Kuna dem amenicheza, nimekuwa nikimlipia rent na kumbe pia wanaume wengine wanamlipia rent na vitu zingine,” he said, adding that the woman used her looks as leverage to attract multiple benefactors.
Sonko said that upon confronting her, he ended the relationship immediately rather than engage further. “Nimemshika nikamwambia badala nikasirike, we enda tu,” he stated.
The remarks, which have since gone viral, have sparked debate online about transactional relationships and financial exploitation in romantic partnerships.
The clip was posted on Instagram by Kenya Gossip Club and had attracted over 1,300 likes within minutes of going live.
