Isaac Otesa, widely known as Goliath Wa Bungoma, became emotional during a live television interview while recalling remarks that YouTuber Oga Obinna once told him.
The interview was hosted by media personality Betty Kyallo. During the discussion, Goliath struggled to hold back tears as he explained how the words affected him when he first came to Nairobi.
Goliath said that when he appeared on Obinna’s show for the first time, he was looking for support and opportunities. At the time he had just moved from Bungoma to Nairobi and was trying to find a way to improve his life.
According to him, Obinna advised him to return to his home area and organize his life before coming back to the city. The tall content creator said the advice was difficult to accept because he had travelled to Nairobi with high hopes.
Goliath first attracted public attention in 2024 after appearing on Obinna Show Live. Many people online were surprised by his unusual height, which made him trend on social media platforms across the country.
Despite the online attention, life in the city was not easy for him. He revealed that he struggled to meet basic needs, including finding a place to sleep during his early days in Nairobi.
However, his situation later began to change after several opportunities came his way. He was eventually selected as a brand ambassador by car dealership Car Soko.
Since then, Goliath has made several improvements in his life. He has managed to purchase a motorcycle and has also started building a three bedroom house in his rural home.
He has previously stated that he does not hold any grudge against Obinna. According to him, the advice helped him reflect on his situation and plan better for the future.
Goliath Wa Bungoma is 27 years old and comes from Bungoma County. Before gaining public attention, he worked as a motorcycle taxi rider while supporting his family.
His journey from hardship to recognition continues to attract interest from many Kenyans who follow his story online.
