The family of Dancun Otieno Juma is trying to locate him. He has been out of contact since August last year.
According to reports, he is from Oyugis, Homa Bay County, and any information about his whereabouts would be greatly appreciated.
Dancun is a former Sergeant of the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF), Kahawa Garrison.
His father questioned how his son got to Russia, alleging that he had gotten a job in Turkey.
The concerned family called on President William Ruto’s administration to intervene and help find him. If you know him or have any information, please reach out to the family.
They are among over 5 families that have called for intervention following the disappearance of their loved ones.
Meanwhile, Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has said that the government has rescued several Kenyans from Russia.
He revealed that over 200 Kenyans are fighting for Russia, adding that some of them are former members of the disciplined forces.
He also called on Kenyans to do due diligence before accepting job offers abroad.
Foreign and Diaspora Affairs PS Korir Singoei said that majority of these Kenyans have been leaving the country illegally, adding that the government is trying to locate them.
