In Kenya, security personnel Maurice Ogeta, popularly known for being the former bodyguard for the late Raila Odinga, introduced his fiancée Ann Ogeta at a warm homecoming party held at his rural home in Uyoma, Siaya County. This was also the welcome party for Ogot following the long mourning period occasioned by the death of the late Raila Odinga in October 2025.
During the private ceremony, the family of Ogeta took turns introducing themselves to the friends and family in attendance. During the event, in a very emotional gesture of respect and recognition, his elder sister introduced her as his name as he grabbed the microphone to introduce her as his “madam.” This was in addition to celebrating his step-mother who happens to be the only wife in his polygamous family.
Fans and internet users immediately responded to the photos and videos that circulated due to the event, with many appreciating Ann’s beauty and wishing the two well for their future. Comments on social media varied from appreciation for the relationship between the two individuals to light jokes referring to Ogeta as deserving of public office.
