Raymond Omosa, popularly known as Kenyan Prince, has caused a stir after a tense roadside encounter with a traffic officer went viral. The incident, live-streamed on TikTok, showed him arguing with the officer at Kasarani.
In the video, Omosa was driving his Mercedes-Benz convertible along Thika Road while on a phone call. He questioned why the officer had stopped him and asked a bystander to tell her to stop. When she requested his driving licence, he responded, “Did I buy this car yesterday?” The officer’s efforts to handle the situation were largely ignored.
The clip sparked mixed reactions online. Many criticized his behaviour as arrogant and disrespectful, while others focused on his confidence and wealth. Comments included:
“Acted with arrogance as usual.”
“He thought she would ask for money.”
“The day forex trading stops trending, he better have saved enough.”
Despite the backlash, Omosa also shared a touching moment. He posted a video of a house he is building for his grandmother, who raised him after his mother passed away. The footage showed the foundation and walls taking shape. His grandmother proudly introduced him as her eldest grandson and praised his efforts, earning him admiration online.
The incident highlights the contrast in Kenyan Prince’s public image. He can spark outrage online, yet he also honours family and gives back.
