Controversial content creator Andrew Kibe has come to the rescue of struggling comedian KK Mwenyewe, launching an online fundraiser after Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua appeared to snub the viral impressionist in favor of a lady who coined the nickname “Riggy G.”

In a video circulating online, Kibe passionately appeals to his fans and followers to support KK Mwenyewe, known for his hilarious impersonations of Gachagua that took social media by storm in 2022 and 2023. Kibe accuses the political class of using creatives for clout and dumping them once the hype fades.

“KK Mwenyewe made you relevant on TikTok, and now you’re rewarding someone else with invites and photo ops?” Kibe asked in the video. “Let’s not wait until this boy is suffering. Let’s support him now.”

This comes days after Gachagua was seen hosting the lady who famously dubbed him “Riggy G” at a government function, praising her for “humanizing politics.” Meanwhile, KK Mwenyewe—who arguably did more to popularize the DP’s image—was nowhere to be seen, leading to online outrage from fans who felt he had been sidelined.

Kibe’s fundraiser, launched through a paybill number and supported by fellow influencers, aims to raise enough money to help KK stabilize financially and continue creating content. Within hours, the initiative gained traction, with hundreds pledging support.

Kenyans online have praised Kibe for “walking the talk” and standing up for creatives who often go unrecognized after the limelight fades. Others criticized the Deputy President’s office for failing to acknowledge talent that brought him closer to the youth.

As Kibe put it: “Clout doesn’t pay bills—but people can.”
