Gospel artist Guardian Angel has ventured into real estate as he looks to expand his sources of income beyond music.
The singer is reportedly putting up 15 mabati houses that he plans to rent out at KSh 5,000 per month. Details of the project were shared on Instagram by Nairobi Gossip Club, which posted photos and videos showing the construction site.
The images showed several simple iron sheet houses being constructed on an open piece of land. Timber, iron sheets and other construction materials could also be seen around the site as workers continued with the project.
In one of the videos, Guardian Angel was seen at the construction site wearing a black hoodie as he spoke about the project.
The development quickly attracted attention from social media users, with the post receiving thousands of likes and hundreds of comments within a short period.
Some Kenyans praised the gospel singer for investing in property and looking for ways to create an income stream outside his music career. They argued that real estate can provide a more reliable source of income while also helping him secure his future.
However, others questioned the decision to charge KSh 5,000 per month for the mabati houses.
